   We are pleased to announce that Speaking Tiger title Harilal & Sons by Sujit Saraf has been shortlisted for The DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. The DSC Prize for South Asian Literature celebrates the rich and varied world of literature of the South Asian region. The $25,000 prize brings South Asian writing to a new global audience through a celebration of the achievements of South Asian writers, and aims to raise awareness of South Asian culture around the world. The final award ceremony to be held at the Tata Steel Kolkata Literary Meet which would take place in Kolkata, India between Jan 22 and Jan 27, 2019.

   Shillong Times: A Story of Friendship and Fear by Nilanjan Choudhury was launched on Friday, 23 November, 6:00 p.m. at Oxford Book Store, Park Street, Kolkata. The author was in conversation with Barun Chanda, actor & author and Anindya Chatterjee, musician, filmmaker & author. Click here

   Speaking Tiger authors Jerry Pinto and Gillian Wright both won the REC-VOW Awards instituted by Valley of Words, a volunteer driven, ‘not – for –profit’ initiative of The Shivalik Hills Foundation Trust. Pinto won the award for his crime novel, Murder in Mahim in the Best English Fiction Category, while Gillian Wright’s book, Mishti, The Mirzapuri Labrador, was awarded the prize for Best Writing for Children/Young Adults. The prize was presented at the Valley of Words international Literature and Arts Festival in Dehradun held from 23-25 November 2018.

   A Naga Odyssey: My Long Way Home by Visier Meyasetsu Sanyü with Richard Broome has been shortlisted for the Gordon Graham Prize for Naga Literature. The shortlist was released on Sunday, 25 November 2018 at a ceremony by KES Chairman Dr P Ngully in Kohima. Click here
