   Madhavi Menon, author of Infinite Variety: A History of Desire in India was in conversation with Shohini Ghosh on Saturday, 22 December 2018, at Casuarina Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

   A poetry-reading session was organised on Vijay Nambisanís These Were My Homes at Perch, Khan Market on the 18 December 2018.

   Oxford Bookstore Connaught Place and Namita Gokhale hosted an evening of Poetry, Music and Joy. Poets Akhil Katyal, Sohini Basak, Viki Arya and Michael Creighton read their poems at the event.

   Speaking Tiger authors Shanta Gokhale, Jerry Pinto, Ruskin Bond, Ashok Vajpeyi, Ravish Kumar, Gulzar, Mitra Phukan, Easterine Kire, Gillian Wright, Mark Tully, participated at the Times literature festival Mumbai from 14-16 December 2018. Click here

   Speaking Tiger author Eka Kurniawan received the Prince Claus Award 2018 on December 6, 2018 at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam, together with six other laureates from different countries and cultural disciplines, in the presence of members of the Dutch Royal family and an international audience. The Prince Claus Awards, organized by the Prince Claus Fund, have been honouring outstanding achievements in cultural disciplines since 1996. The awards are given annually to individuals, groups and organisations, based mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, whose work has had a positive impact on the development of their societies.

   Mee and Juhibaby by Susmita Mukherjee was launched by writer and journalist Shanta Gokhale followed by a conversation between Nandita Om Puri and the author. Veteran theatre personality Nadira Zaheer Babbar and her daughter theatre producer-actor Juuhi Babbar Sonii read excerpts from the book as a mother and daughter team. The programme was compered by director and screenplay writer Atul Tiwari. Click here
