Beloved Delhi: A Mughal City and her Greatest Poets was launched in Mumbai at ITC Grand Central on 17 September 2018. Actor and Director Naseeruddin Shah read extensively from the book followed by a conversation with lyricist and screen writer Kausar Munir. Click here. • Easterine Kire's latest book - the first ever Naga novel in English - Sky Is My Father, was officially launched to a packed audience at Nagaland House on Sunday, 23 September, 2018. The event was hosted by the Angami Krotho Delhi - AKD as part of their 30th Freshers' Meet. She was in conversation with Dr. Veio Pou, professor of English, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University. The discussion was followed by a sumptuous dinner. Click here • We are happy to share that The Impossible Fairy Tale by Janet Hong and Han Yujoo was shortlisted for the 2018 National (American) Translation Awards! • We are pleased to share that When the Moon Shines by Day by Nayantara Sahgal has been long listed for the JCB Prize for Literature 2018. The JCB Prize for Literature is an award presented each year to a distinguished work of fiction by an Indian author, as selected by the jury. Commenting on work, the jury said, “A courageous, and dystopian, political novel, When the Moon Shines by Day describes the all-too-easy slip from the familiar and apparently harmless into the terrifying. This is a true novel of our time: India, 2018.” • We are pleased to announce that Speaking Tiger title Harilal & Sons by Sujit Saraf has won the FICCI Publishing Award for Book of the Year- English. The FICCI Publishing Committee has taken various initiatives to showcase the promise and potential of the Indian publishing sector. • The French translation of Season of Crimson Blossoms by Abubakar Adam Ibrahim, has been nominated for the Prix Femina.
