   Easterine Kire's latest book - the first ever Naga novel in English - Sky Is My Father, was officially launched to a packed audience at Nagaland House on Sunday, 23 September, 2018. The event was hosted by the Angami Krotho Delhi - AKD as part of their 30th Freshers' Meet.    We are pleased to share that When the Moon Shines by Day by Nayantara Sahgal has been long listed for the JCB Prize for Literature 2018. The JCB Prize for Literature is an award presented each year to a distinguished work of fiction by an Indian author, as selected by the jury. Commenting on work, the jury said, “A courageous, and dystopian, political novel, When the Moon Shines by Day describes the all-too-easy slip from the familiar and apparently harmless into the terrifying. This is a true novel of our time: India, 2018.

   We are pleased to announce that Speaking Tiger title Harilal & Sons by Sujit Saraf has won the FICCI Publishing Award for Book of the Year- English. The FICCI Publishing Committee has taken various initiatives to showcase the promise and potential of the Indian publishing sector.

   The French translation of Season of Crimson Blossoms by Abubakar Adam Ibrahim, has been nominated for the Prix Femina. The prize, established in 1904, is one of France’s most prestigious literary awards. There are two categories – the prize for novels written in French, and the Prix Femina Étranger for foreign novels, for which Season of Crimson Blossoms has been nominated.
