She Goes to War: Women Militants of India by Rashmi Saksena was launched at the India
International Centre on 24 May 2018. Avuli Chishi Swu, Executive Member, Steering Committee,
National Socialist Council of Nagalim (IM), was present at the event and participated in a
discussion on the issue of insurgency and the role of women. The other panellists were Lt. Gen. Syed
Ata Hasnain (Retd.), former GOC, Srinagar-based 15 Corp and Sanjoy Hazarika, International Director,
Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. • Infinite Variety: A History of Desire in India by Madhavi Menon was launched at the India International Centre on 15 May 2018. Acclaimed author Mahesh Rao was in conversation with Madhavi Menon.
